Art Therapy Center
The Innocent Art Therapy Center is a visionary architectural project. The interior space aims to facilitate various activities for young stroke victims with the purpose of nourishing both their brain and body in the recovery stage.
The interior of the building is an abstract depiction of the human brain, naming each space within it after the brain areas concerning the activities taking place in each one of them. There is a tree located in the middle of the building, symbolising a positive representation of the stroke and promoting the feeling of recreation and reconstruction. The user journey starts from the spinal cord (the entrance) introducing the users to the rest of the brain areas (interior space).
Innocent was chosen as a client, as the brand's philosophy could alleviate the vision of the art therapy centre and its users. The centre is designed to benefit the users and help them gradually regain technical skills lost due to the stroke. To work on their motor skills users can collect fruit from an indoor garden an turn them into smoothies. Other activities involve encouraging users to express themselves by getting involved with crafts through art therapy.
